Crosfields are in the Challenge Cup
Crosfields have accepted an invitation from the Rugby Football League to participate in the 2019 Challenge Cup.
Crosfields will be entered into Round 1 as part of 52 teams from the community game.
The draw will take place on Friday 14th December at The Emerald Headingley Stadium at 5.30pm, prior to the England Academy v Australian Schoolboys Test Match. The draw will be live on the BBC as per previous years.
The 26 winning teams from Round 1 will progress to Round 2, from which the 13 winners emerging will then be entered into the draw for Round 3 encompassing clubs from League 1 of the professional game.
Early Rounds Format:
Round 1 to take place on the weekend of the 26th/27th January 2019
Round 2 to take place on the weekend of the 9th/10th February 2019
Clubs participate from all corners of England, as well as Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France, and in 2019 for the first time, Serbia, as Red Star Belgrade will be in the draw.
Red Star Belgrade’s first round will be away, as will their second round game, should they progress.
