A dull overcast morning saw the return of the under 7s back to home turf this week after an extended break. But there were no slow starts and the Crosfields team took the game straight to Widnes Moorfield showing them we were a strong team.
Widnes matched us try for try over the first two periods but all the players kept composure and maintained their playing format allowing Crosfields to overturn Moorfield and get the upperhand scoring from each attack then on in.
Absolutely fabulous tackles and amazing tries could be seen from a range of the Crosfields players but standing out for his effort and absolute dogged determination was Ben Haughton, he steamrollered and sidestepped the entire team to get over the try line!
Another fabulous effort from Charlotte Meredith showing her tackling is back to standard kept Widnes Moorfield out on numerous occasions but she was just pipped at the post for tackle Champion by Charlie "he's mine" Smithson!!!
Storming Runs by George Slann and Robbie Tickle Kept the try count on the up but it was teamwork that won out and there was noone more worthy of Star player with their team effort than Joseph Gough this week.
The tries came rolling in from almost every player and despite some powerful runs to get over the Crosfields line Thomas Meredith and Connor Mahoney stood strong in the closing minutes to ensure a Crosfields win.
