Defining defence.

Today saw the team set out early for a sunny start to the match against the Bulldogs. Starting the first period saw an even match with some hard tackles and good defensive play from both teams, with Bulldogs scoring first. Another debut for Crosfields with Spencer Buller pulling on his jersey for the first time. He showed great support to his team and got stuck in from the off. Moving through the match Bulldogs just kept ahead with the defensive line keeping Crosfields out, By no means were Crosfields lacking in defence with fabulous tackles and great movement from Connor Mahoney making him the worthy winner of tackle champion. The game came to a close with all the team digging deep non more so than Mitch Ireland and Finn Hammill putting in a try stopping tackle seconds before time but it was Alex Dowd who showed excellent team and individual work with strength and determination throughout to keep. Moving forward to gain yards making him the deserving winner of the day's Star player.
