a Real Step up

Crosfields U7's showed just how much they have come on recently with an outstanding defensive display matched by the class shown going forward.
There was dogged determination on show in defence, shown on numerous occasions when a good Storm team were kept out with Crosfields goal line defence. Storm came close to the try line on a couple of occasions and were sometimes over the line when Crosfields held the player up and forced them back in to play to stop potential tries.
Defence was not the only positive on show, the varied attack showed recent training on offence had paid off. Tries included solid forward runs crashing through storms defence to some fantastic footwork stepping off and wrong footing Storm's defence. Crosfields also showed that they understand the benefit of a quick play the ball, making countless metres whilst the opposition were still sorting themselves out. At the same time they were able to control the opposition play the ball to stop the same thing happening to them.
Outstanding displays all over the team today however, mention needs to be made of Alistair Robson who built on scoring his 1st try of the season last week, with a further 2 today. Robson's progression over the last month or so has been staggering and his fantastic attitude has paid off with a Star Player performance today. Well done Alistair.
Charlotte Meredith's recent fantastic performances continued today with her 2nd try of the season. This by no means defined her game however, an excellent defensive display earned her the title of Tackle Champion. At the end when one of the Storm players commented negatively that we had a girl on the team, he had no answer when he was told that " that girl" knocked his team all over the pitch today. Well done Charlotte, keep proving everyone wrong that suggests you can't match it with the boys!

This was, absolutely a fantastic team performance today. Not one player had a bad game and the whole team showed that what they put in to the training pays off in the game. Well done to all and thanks guys.
