Match Report-
Short numbers for Sharks meant the game was 6v6, but undeterred by the last minute change Coach G changed up the normal game plan. Focusing on strong running with attention to offloading, with more pass work later in each set meant Cobras got to play differently to the last few games.
As we all know this team has some brilliant running players, and today was perfect for both Reagan and Finn who both bagged hat tricks in the extra space. In the first Qtr Josh and Nat also buried over keeping up the slender lead. Reagan scored from a move with at least 5 passes after Finn had broke the duck on minute 1.
Dan B showed great vision early in Qtr 2 on a lovely angled run to the line, and Joe continued his streak with another double bagger coming from gritty running.
Qtr 3 started tied at 7-7, but this was the Qtr that turned the tide. Two excellent runs from Isaac, both ended over the chalk with tries, and a 30 metre dance along the line from Reagan pushed the score to 10-8. However it was the two shut out sets that really set the tone, with big hits galore!
Qtr 4 and it was knock for knock, both Fin and Reagan completed their HTs, but shout out to Sam P who barged over like a guy possessed with two sharks clinging on to him. Another solid performance from Lucas in defence especially after his leg knock, and Robbie T who played 30 minutes straight without letting up! Story of the day has to be D-Fence, with 3 shutout sets. Up the Soap!
