Match Report-
If there's anything we know from today, it's that not much phases these young soap men. A crisp but blustery day and a big 60m+ pitch did not cause any problems, and neither did the low numbers, with only 1 sub every player put in at least 35 minutes.
The scene was set with early running and strong defence, Robbie and Spencer both going over from rangy wide runs before OSA could reply. Then Josh showed what was to come by wrapping up Qtr 1 over the chalk. Interestingly D kept OSA out on a number of sets but in Q1 Cobras scored before tackle 3 on each set.
Q2 belonged to Mr Buller, scooping up his HT before min5. Robbie knocked one in, and Reagan finished the set off in style, almost goin 50 metres he was pulled down, but then not long after he darted across the line, 7-3.
Q3 was Nathan's turn to shine, nicking two lovely tries, and Robbie again went like a rabbit wide out (will he ever roll over from 1yd out???? Not likely). 10-3.
Q4 was book ended by Josh and Joe going over, 12-3.
Massive shout out though to the D played by the soap, keeping any team out in a Qtr is good, but for a full half goes to show how this team works, we played tough, Josh head knock, Isaac hand stamped on, Lucas Shin Injury, Reagan scuffling. All carried on regardless and contributed for the win. Coach G would probably like more passing, as was shown later in the game with some brilliant combinations and offloads complementing the pace, but all in all it was a gutsy performance with the best half of D this season.
