Match Report
Back to Hood Lane this week and some returning players meant that the Cobras had the most numbers for a while, it meant slightly less game time than last week but the levels were the same high standard we have come to expect. Straight from the off Spencer was causing chaos in the vine line and went over the chalk twice. His second was a piece of proper rugby, Robbie T threw the first pass and 3 offloads later Spencer was running back two to the good... super league style. Mr Simpson showed his pace going on a wide arcing run to make the score 3-1, he must be built for speed.
Another xcellent show in D, especially on the line shut vine out at the end of the set big hits going in off the boys, shouts to Regan who seems to have no fear, and Isaac who appears to be getting stuck in more and more. Joe G also started making his mark, especially one on one D and shooting out of the line.
Qtr 2 saw Finn run one in early before Samuel Perry, to some massive shouts from the crowd (that woke me up) took over the show. Two tries and some top D took the score to 6-3.
Big shout out to Lucas and Regan who's drives down the RH Line were excellent to enable Finns early score.
Qtr 3 saw Vine run in 3 tries, which felt a bit unusual but our champagne attackers took it one step further running in 5! SAMUEL again responded to the big shouts from the bottom of Hood Lane, bagging his HT. Finn took a beauty offload form Joe to go out wide, Nathan scored a copycat of the first try, and Dan made up for his earlier short miss by battling numerous vine players to ground the ball and score 11-6.
Q4 Robbie showed his pace on 4 mins, jinking around for score.
Big mention to Josh who finished the game off with two tries and the biggest Hand Off since Regan copped for one earlier lol! Another full quarter shut out showed the work on D paying off, attacking comes naturally for this crew but the hard graft is rounding the Cobras into a real force. #upthesoap
