Match Report
The young soap were on the road again this week at Hattons Crusaders Park, Thatto Heath. On a cold, wintery morning, the boys dug deep and gave a sterling performance and came out on top to beat their local rivals in St Helens.

The Cobras started the game where they left off last week, showing great attacking flair with a superb offload by Finn to send Josh over for his first try of the match. Regan showed some great skills and speed once again flying down the righthand side to score in the corner.
Daniel took a good carry towards the line taking a high shot on the way. Both boys shook hands and the game carried on with Regan scoring once again for the Cobras. This was followed up by some great defence and a further two tries from Finn and Robbie taking the score to 5-3 to Cobras.

Quarter two again saw some excellent work from dummy half with Joe offloading to Nathan who streamed away for the try that never was (the referee not knowing which cones we were playing to!) As the game restarted, Finn walked in at the corner unopposed. Ali was a constant threat throughout with devastating speed and determination with Sam being held up just short bringing the quarter to an end 7-4.

Quarter three opened with what could be the try of the season, which saw Josh barnstorm his way to the line handing off two players as he went. Then a long pass from Josh sent Nathan away in the corner. Joe showed some great awareness and determination but was held up just short of the line with a score line of 10-6 to Cobras.

The final quarter saw the Cobras run in three more tries with Robbie putting in some darting runs, zigzagging across the pitch to score another try for the team. Cobras put in a great defensive effort to keep Thatto Heath to just one score throughout the quarter, with a big shout out to Spencer Buller who put his usual shift in D. Final score of Cobras 13, Thatto Heath 7. #upthesoap
