Sport in its truest form is a formalised sanitised battle, they say the battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton, and up and down the country parents shout for their little troopers each week. But what they also say is that there's a magic ingredient, nobody knows where it comes from, nobody can see it vanish, but if you can't take it form the opponents and keep it for yourself, you will fall behind. Well, today we saw the magic snatched, then held onto. Yes, folks, it's the Big M, Magic Mo, MOMENTUM....
The lobby gobblers had a strong first quarter and tried to bully the soap, but we stopped them grabbing the Mo.
We wrestled it off em and made them eat their lobby cold, Gobble That.
For me one of the biggest shouts was for Dan, he doesn't get many but a lovely dummy saw him get soaps first. About 3 tries came off first tackle drives today, which can disrupt the team a little as they go straight back into D. And another few came off the back of long distance runs which either got kept out or went in touch. Again it's hard to single out praise but remember it's not about who puts it down if the team work hard to get you there.
Those Lobby's were big lads, about 4ft6 some of em, and they liked to go a bit high, but our boys took it on the chin, literally. So big shout to Finster who ended sniffing claret, and all the others that bounced back. I want to finish with a big rap to Spencer B, he was on form in the last match but today he was everywhere, like a powered up pinball, topped the tackle count, some top try savers, ran himself ragged, and didn't even score, which is the first time the PMOM hasn't scored! Go, Buller........
Signing off, a made up Statto
