It might only be a few miles away, but it may as well have been the windswept west as the Cobras slipped into Widnes (historic Farnworth to the posh nobs Simo knows), and took a bite out of the hornets. Another constant application of pressure through all 4 Qs saw the Soap allow only two scores while building some excellent attacking moves bagging 10.
Basher scored three in the first half and finished with 5 overall! Awesome! Granted some were off brilliant runs but a few came with amazing support play from the team, but his running from the first receiver was top drawer.
Reg didn't let us down, taking two across with one a full-length burst down the line taking over L-Bombs flying winger role. It was awesome, I can still hear Russ cheering....erm soz Deb I mean.
Finn got another from a lovely pass off Basher and Charlie was there in excellent position to take one over the line, always support the runner!
And what about Joe, that dummy, it was still another 20m to the line but he put his foot down and backed himself. Smash!!
And what about D- big Sam smashed TT with 19, that is definitely his biggest haul and probably two matches worth in one week! The rest of the boys put a mighty shift in D with 136 one on one tackles between them, KABOOM. Lots of it was self-organised again today and The boys look to be ready faster than their oppos and seem like greased up lightning in attack.
Keep it up Kids.
And on a sad note, for me anyway, our official season draws to a close next Sunday, and with it I am defo drawing to a close my amaze balls match reports. I've done 2 and half years so it is somebody else's turn, volunteer gets free clip board and some blank team sheets.
