The u10s took on Liverpool St Helens Lions for the first time and put in an excellent performance.

Liverpool Lions 4-38 Crosfield Cobras
HT 0-18
TRIES: Max, Lewis (3), Finn, Josh Y (2)
CONS: Lewis, Finn, Isaac, Max, Josh Y

The Soap had their second game of the week, a tough fixture away to the Liverpool Lions. A team established in 2008 who claim they are the only active Rugby League club from Liverpool, cynics may say they are just another Rugby League team from St Helens!

It was a quality start from the Soap, high completion rates and aggressive defence forcing early errors from the Lions. This set the platform for some great field position to attack from, Max who had been excellent under the high ball was making some great inroads with the kick returns.
It was Max who opened the scoring after being put in by Lewis who also kicked the extras. Soap were making no mistakes and moving the ball superbly, L-Bomb stretched the lead with a well-taken try and the conversion from Finn doubled the lead. On the stroke of HT Lewis scored his second of the game with a great dummy and step for a fine try, credit must go to some of the support runs his teammates were making which helped create the gaps for the on-form half back. Isaac calmly slotted over the kick to give the Soap an 18-0 HT lead.

Crosfields began the second half with the same intensity they played the first, a great kick restart from Finn found touch and presented a great early attacking position. The Cobras capitalised, moving the ball wide and some unselfish play from Max put Finn in the corner for a well-deserved try, and Max made no mistake with his kick. The Soap were on fire and one player in particular Lewis, he got his second hat trick in only 4 days with another scintillating finish, Josh York kicked the conversion. It was Yorkie who got all the points for Soap in the remainder of the game, his first coming from some fast hands and a great kick from Daniel to score in the corner. The Soap conceded their only try of the game before Josh brought proceedings to an end. Another fine passing move gave him the overlap on the outside for another superbly taken try.
