Crosfields Bounce back In Style

A fantastic team performance from the super Soap saw them bounce back from last week's defeat to register not only a win but a win with style and clear signs of development and improvement.

The first period was a low scoring affair with defences on top. Kian and Max crossing to cancel out the Clockface tries to finish two tries each at the end of the quarter. The two teams could not be separated and three tries apiece kept the scores level at 5 each at half-time. Spencer scoring the first of his two tries and Max and Kian doubling their tally.

The third and fourth periods saw more tries and the powerful running of Spencer, Kian and Jake made it exciting for all spectators. Spencer scored again and today's captain, James opened his account with some fancy footwork. Finlay got his first try for the team with a great run down the touchline and Kian registered his hattrick. The Clockface boys kept coming though and two tries at the end of the period drew them level once again to set up a grandstand finish for the final quarter.

The sides were very evenly matched and the result could have gone either way but the Vipers outscored their opposition for the first time in this period, 4 tries to three with the excellent Jake scoring twice and Ryan also crossing before the team try of the season finished the game in style. A great run and offload by Jake saw Max crash over for his hattrick to the delight of the Crosfields support.

This was an excellent performance that demonstrated the superb improvement the whole team have made. Today's man of the match was Jake, the top tackler was Spencer, Ryan got the coaches award and the coaches training award was won by William. Well done boys!!
