Crosfields came away from Chester with another highly impressive victory, outscoring yet another experienced side crossing the 50 point mark for the second time in three games.
The visitors again came with a youthful side full of enthusiasm looking to continue a fine run of form. The first half was all Crosfields, scoring at regular intervals. Nathan Hamilton playing on the wing crossed in the corner early on with further tries in the half coming from Jack Williams backing up a strong Jordan Williams break, Louis Walsh dummying his way over the line from acting half back and Sam Roylance following a great Danny Lee break. The home team managed the one converted try to go in at half time 22-6 down.
The second half followed a similar pattern as the soap scored early as Roylance crossed for his second to effectively end the game as a contest. This was quickly followed up by Danny Lee who reacted well to a Mitch McJay offload to further underline the visitors supremacy.
The Gladiators were not done though and managed to register three tries in between Crosfields scores in a free flowing second half. Roylance completed his hat trick and Danny Lee and Jack Williams registered braces to complete a thorough dismantling of a strong Chester side.
Coach Ian Boden was away at a wedding but handed the reigns over to Andrew Campbell who was delighted with the team's shape and enthusiasm - 'It came easy to the lads today but they switched off too much and allowed them to score too many points, but it is good to see the way that we are playing' The easter period will see a well deserved break before the much anticipated local derby versus Burtonwood at home on Saturday 22nd Kick Off 2:30pm
Best for Crosfields were Sam Roylance, Danny Lee and Sam Hickey
